TAMMY STRAYHORN

Deputy Program Executive Officer, Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I) for Management and Budget Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR)

Tammy Strayhorn currently serves in the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) as the Deputy Program Executive Officer for Management and Budget for PEO C4I, where she is responsible for the efficient and effective use of approximately $4 billion per year of Department of Defense funding. She started her civilian service career in as a student aide supporting the Naval Ship Weapon Systems Engineering Station in Port Hueneme. She moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in public administration. Strayhorn then joined the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest (NAVFAC SW). In 2006, she joined NAVWAR (then SPAWAR) as a business financial manager (BFM). In 2012, she transitioned to the NAVWAR headquarters BFM branch head position. Strayhorn is a Certified Defense Financial Manager and is fully certified in Business Financial Management.
