Michael Herrera, Director of Community Outreach and Supplier Diversity, McCarthy Building Companies Inc., is an accomplished and driven leader in San Diego's construction community. With more than 20 years of experience, Herrera manages McCarthy's diversity, equity and inclusion programs throughout Southern California and Nevada. As part of this effort, Herrera works to develop opportunities for small and diverse-owned businesses on construction projects across the region, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and community leadership.

Herrera has served on the advisory boards of several nonprofit business organizations and currently serves in similar roles with several other nonprofits. This group includes the board of directors for the Hispanic Coalition of Small Business, the leadership advisory board of the Small Business Diversity Network, and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee of Associated General Contractors of California.
