Chief Deputy DA of HR, Diversity & Inclusion District Attorneys Office of San Diego County

Jerrilyn Malana is Chief Deputy District Attorney for Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion at the San Diego County District Attorney's Office. Malana leads such efforts for the fifth largest district attorney's office in the United States, with more than 1,000 employees. Her efforts ensure a more fair and equitable workplace in a top rated DA's office in the country. Malana is the first Asian American woman in the chief HR role in the DA's office history.

Outside of her executive role, she dedicates her time to serving others as chair of the civic engagement and outreach committee, California Lawyers Association, as former president of the San Diego County Bar Association and former president of UC San Diego Alumni Association. Malana has been with the District Attorney's Office for more than seven years. Prior to that she was a shareholder at a major law firm in San Diego.
