Director of Wellness / Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion TrueCare

Mimi Mateo is Director of Wellness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for TrueCare. She graduated from Yale University with a master's degree in Midwifery in 1989. She believes that all women and their families deserve support as they grow and make important health decisions. Since 1999, Mateo has helped patients manage diabetes. In her current role, she coordinates TrueCare's wellness and DEI efforts to help all team members establish a sense of belonging at work. Mateo's team has engaged 40% of staff through their newly designed wellness platform. The platform helps team members prioritize mental wellness and offers in-depth training on DEI initiatives. In 2022, Mateo led a medical assistance listening project which helped identify ways to ensure medical assistants are included and valued within medical operations at TrueCare.
