Taneashia Morrell is Senior Contracts and Licensing Associate at Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Her work involves drafting and negotiating licensing agreements and managing intellectual property matters. Morrell is the immediate past Co-Chair of Salk's Advisory Committee on Diversity and is a member of the Black Association at Salk. Throughout her tenure as an attorney, Morrell has been appointed to serve on several professional legal committees in California, District of Columbia and Michigan. In 2023, she was appointed to the San Diego County Bar Association's Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion division as Vice-Chair of Programs & Events, overseeing the Anti-Racism and Dialogue on Diversity subgroups. In 2023, she was appointed Vice President of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association which promotes the interests of the Black community in San Diego.
