KATHRYN PETERSEN Applied Behavior Analysis Site Manager Cortica

Kathryn Petersen is an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Site Manager at Cortica. She began her healthcare career in 2009 as a behavior therapist for children with autism. Petersen soon advanced into clinical supervisor roles for autism organizations throughout San Diego County. Since 2018, she has led Cortica's Carlsbad and San Diego ABA teams where she develops site-specific processes and acts as a liaison between the ABA teams and departments. She trains, mentors and supports several other employees. In 2016, she began volunteering at the Global Autism Project, an organization that works to create thriving, sustainable businesses that support the autistic community around the world. She later enhanced her involvement at the organization and served in leadership roles for the next six years, reviewing partnership applications, approving funding for partnership organizations, providing operational and clinical guidance for new partnership organizations, leading consultation calls and site visits with clinics and traveling to the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Indonesia and Kenya to build clinics' ABA capacities.
