HILARY BOWERS Pediatrician AAP-CA3

Dr. Hilary Bowers is a respected pediatrician and founding Director of Behavioral and Mental Health Services at Children's Primary Care Medical Group. The group provides healthcare at 28 offices across San Diego and Riverside counties and serves the needs of approximately 280,000 people. In addition, she is Lead Pediatrician of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration program as part of the Transforming Mental Health Initiative at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego.

Bowers graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from the University of Washington. While there, she performed early research on the efficacy of telemedicine to serve rural populations. She is committed to bringing mental health care into the primary care home, and is a passionate advocate for improved and timely access to quality pediatric behavioral and mental health care. Bowers is a voluntary assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UC San Diego and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
