Dr. Donna L. Cook, Ph.D. is a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist at the San Diego Veterans Administration Health Care System. She's an expert in treating military and combat trauma and is honored to “serve those who have served, helping heal the invisible wounds of war.” As an African American female clinician, she is committed to providing mental health treatment that is diverse, equitable and inclusive, especially to underserved populations. She is the founder of Omni Behavioral Health, a privately owned agency that provides individual, group, family/ relationship, trauma and substance abuse therapy across San Diego County. She is a former professor of nursing at the University of Michigan, Point Loma Nazarene University, University of San Diego and National University. She is a 38year member and past president of the San Diego Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
