MIKE PHILLIPS Senior Director of Patient Advocacy and Housing Services Jewish Family Service of San Diego

Mike Phillips, Senior Director of Patient Advocacy and Housing Services at Jewish Family Service of San Diego, oversees several programs dedicated to supporting the behavioral, mental and emotional health of more than 70,000 people per year. He oversees more than 300 inpatient and residential facilities that provide behavioral health services throughout San Diego County. He also oversees the JFS Safe Parking Program, which operates five lots throughout San Diego County, and in the last year provided 1,115 people experiencing homelessness with a safe space to sleep in their car for the night, along with case managers and specialists to help them move into more stable housing. He is a two-time Patients' Rights Advocate of the Year recipient, and recipient of multiple awards for his contributions to the behavioral health field.

Phillips is a respected educator in the behavioral health community, providing information and training on due process rights for individuals receiving behavioral health treatment. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law.
